Kanon Machine- Great Assistant for 15 years!

 I have been coaching cricket for 20 years. Fifteen years ago I purchased a "Kanon Bowling" machine and am currently still using the same machine. It has been of great assistance in coaching young boys (and girls) between the ages of 6 and 14 in the skills of batting and fielding. 

Because of its constant and repetitive deliveries, batsmen can be schooled into perfecting one particular shot at a time in contrast to fielding inexperienced bowlers when no two consecutive balls are the same. The remote control enables me to stand with the batsman and correct his faults without delay. 

It is useful to be able to use the Kanon in our net and have a normal bowling net next to it. The pupil moves from one net to the other, either to correct a latent fault, or to put into practice what he has just learnt. 

Soft balls are used in the Kanon and therefore batsmen do not necessarily need to be padded up. The frequency of playable balls gives the batsman a concentrated practice in a short time. The speed and length controls are adjustable, thus accommodating younger or more experienced players. 

The Kanon is ideal for fielding and catching practice, shooting balls at different angle, speeds and heights. Because of its accuracy and consistancy I use the Kanon as bowler in match situations to learn the art of running between wickets. In short, the Kanon is a most useful piece of equipment.
